Fire Department
Through a cooperative effort of the Academy of the New Church
and the fire company, donations from some community members were obtained and
used to purchase some additional pagers for firefighters. This facilitated turning
the siren off at night to increase the overnight peace and quiet in our community
while still making sure our volunteers are notified of calls. The siren will
still sound during the day time. If there is any interruption in the paging
system or any other need the siren can still be activated manually at night.
The
fire siren controller has been reprogrammed to prevent the siren from sounding
between the hours of 11:00pm and 6:00am
The Company would like to thank the Bryn Athyn Community and the Academy for
